Who We Are<\/h2>\n

We are Joram, Hans, and Maarten \u2013 three cybersecurity professionals with a shared passion for practical digital resilience. In 2018, we decided to found MITE3 Cybersecurity after many years of experience as security specialists, ethical hackers, consultants, and team leads.<\/p>\n

What connects us? A deep-rooted motivation to genuinely help organizations move forward \u2013 without vague language or impractical plans.<\/p>\n

Where It Began<\/h2>\n

The idea for MITE3 was born on a scorching hot sidewalk in Las Vegas during the Black Hat 2017 conference. There, we attended the Advanced Practical Social Engineering training by Chris Hadnagy \u2013 an intensive, hands-on course on how to hack people using words, behavior, and intent.<\/p>\n

After days of training, evening assignments in the desert heat, and conversations with complete strangers on the street \u2013 complete with props, pretexts, and the analysis of micro-expressions \u2013 we knew one thing for sure: cybersecurity deserves a different approach. More honest. More practical. More human-centered.<\/p>\n

That was the seed for MITE3.<\/p>\n

Each of us combines more than twenty years of experience in IT with over ten years of specific focus on cybersecurity. We complement each other, can step in for one another, and share a vision of quality, responsibility, and straightforward collaboration.<\/p>\n

Joram Teusink<\/h3>\n

Joram is an interim (C)ISO and strategic information security advisor with a broad background in IT and security. He supports organizations in structurally strengthening governance, risk management, and digital resilience. He has experience in establishing ISMS structures, information security policies, risk assessments, and applying NIS2 and ISO 27001 in practice.

Hans Minten<\/h3>\n

Hans is a technically skilled cybersecurity analyst with a background in networking, infrastructure, and system administration. As a certified ethical hacker, penetration tester, and Red Team Operator, he performs vulnerability scans and threat analyses, while also assisting with detection, incident response, and improving monitoring. He moves seamlessly between offense and defense \u2014 from SMEs to enterprise environments.
His strength lies in sharp observations, technical depth, and practical, noise-free solutions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maarten Minten<\/h3>\n

Maarten is an experienced security officer with a practical perspective on information security. He has extensive experience in developing policies, implementing logging and monitoring, and improving access management in complex IT environments. With his background as a team lead and administrator, he understands how security works in practice \u2014 not just on paper, but also in technology and behavior.
He always focuses on what is possible \u2014 people-oriented, pragmatic, and workable.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of our initiatives is DataLekt.nl<\/a> (Dutch) \u2013 an independent dashboard where we publish (almost) daily updates on new data breaches and cyber incidents affecting Dutch organizations. The information is sourced from public data and is structured, classified, and made reusable by us.<\/p>\n

With DataLekt.nl, we aim to contribute to a more realistic view of digital threats: less hype, more facts. The platform is used by organizations, journalists, and researchers seeking insight into incident trends and sector-specific risks.<\/p>\n
